Siberian Ice half Marathon 2017 results
 

On the 7th of January, 2017 Omsk held the 26th Siberian Ice half Marathon on the center of the city - Cathedral Square.

There were 3 distances: 3,5 km family run, 7 km fun run and 21.1 km half marathon. In total 910 participants from 16 countries and 26 regions of Russian Federation took part in the race.

Sergey Petrov from Republic of Bashkortostan and Natalia Tarasova from Novosibirsk region become 1st among men and women.

“The weather gave us this temperature as a present. It was much colder yesterday (on the 6th of January) and this is a Christmas Miracle!”, commented the organizers.

The winners in the categories "Best Athlete of the Omsk Region" (male and female) became Alexander Zaprudskiy and Marina Kovaleva. Staffan Wallner from Sweden made the best result of foreign participants - 01:26:41 and became the 15th.

In the nomination "The most original costume" becomes a family of Karev (Dmitry, Ekaterina and their son Pavel). They all were dressed in costumes of cartoon "Minions". What is interesting, this is not the 1st race for Pavel (who is only two years old), he also helped his mother on the Marathon in August.
